J.D. Power and Associates is a well-known firm that conducts surveys of many products for quality and customer satisfaction. In the automotive world, JD’s vehicles rating on quality and dependability are a coveted commodity. Just yesterday, J.D. Power released their findings of their survey on vehicle dependability. Lexus vehicles topped the lists and will soon be reaping the benefits of so much attention.
J.D Power and Associates surveyed 31,000 vehicle owners of 2009 model year vehicles. They rated each brand by the number of issues the owners have had within the previous 12 months. Lexus vehicle owners reported 86 problems per 100 vehicles. The average was for all car manufacturers was 132 problems per 100 vehicles. The chief complaint this year was wind noise and loud brakes. The study also shows that vehicles as a whole are becoming even more dependable than ever before.
